Wa Suntaa SC has suspended the pre-season derby match against their city rivals, Maana FC.
The 'We Believe' boys suspended the much-anticipated match for what they described as reasons beyond their control.
A statement from the club's Communications Department read: "We wish to announce to the general public that our pre-season derby match against our city rivals, Maana FC is suspended due to reasons beyond our control.
"The Speaker’s Cup against our city rivals was slated on Wednesday, 28th September 2022 to commission the newly renovated Wa Sports Stadium by the speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, RT. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sunmaana Bagbin."
Meanwhile, the Speaker is today expected to commission the renovated Wa Sports Park which he funded.
