The Wa Municipal Chief Executive Alhaji Nurah Issah Danwanaa, has announced a bold new strategy to increase revenue through innovative digital solutions. During the recent general assembly meeting of the Wa Municipal Assembly , Alhaji Danwanaa praised the assembly’s ongoing efforts, revealing that they are already surpassing their revenue targets ,achieving over 100 percent so far. Looking ahead, he emphasized that the assembly plans to replicate this success next year, despite setting even higher revenue goals.
“Digital tools will play a vital role in our revenue mobilization efforts,” Danwanaa stated, indicating the municipality’s commitment to embracing technology to enhance financial sustainability.
Beyond revenue, the assembly continues to prioritize agriculture , a key sector for the region’s economic development. He highlighted the organization of numerous demonstration and training programs aimed at empowering farmers and agricultural workers. Additionally, the assembly has taken tangible steps by constructing eight solar-powered micro irrigation systems, aimed at improving farming efficiency and sustainability.
