The Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) has officially announced the postponement of the coronation ceremony for the 2025 Division Two Middle League champions due to a controversial incident during a key match.
The highly anticipated final stages of the league have been overshadowed by a disputed match involving Kalibi SC and TF Exponential FC, which ended abruptly under unclear and controversial circumstances.
In a statement released by the UWRFA Division Two League Board, the association expressed regret over the development and emphasized that no team will be crowned until a final verdict is issued by the UWRFA Disciplinary Committee.
“We are currently awaiting the verdict from the UWRFA Disciplinary Committee. Until a decision is made, no team will be officially crowned,” the statement read.
The UWRFA assured stakeholders that a coronation match will be organized for the eventual winners once the matter is resolved.
The association also called for calm and urged all clubs, players, and supporters to exercise patience as they work to ensure a fair and transparent conclusion to the league.
“We appreciate your commitment towards fair play,” the statement concluded.
The outcome of the Disciplinary Committee’s decision is now eagerly awaited as it will determine the rightful champions of this season’s Middle League.
