UWRFA 2025: Stars Shine Bright as Individual Awards Are Announced

The Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) has officially announced the winners of the 2025 individual awards, celebrating the standout performers of this year’s thrilling league season. From deadly strikers to impenetrable goalkeepers, this year’s campaign showcased exceptional talent across the region.
Goal Scorers Set the Pace
Leading the scoring charts was Patrick Y. Gbene of Real24Hours, who netted an impressive 11 goals to claim the Top Goal Scorer award. Gbene’s consistency in front of goal proved vital for Real24Hours as they pushed through a competitive season.
Following closely behind were a trio from TF Exponential FC, who demonstrated their team's attacking prowess throughout the season. John E. Skpere, Philip Gary, and Hafiz Bawa each finished with 9 goals, jointly holding the second-highest goal tally. Their contributions played a crucial role in TF Exponential’s dominant performances.

Wall Between the Posts
In the goalkeeping department, Abdulai Saddick Nuntaa of Real24Hours emerged as the Best Goalkeeper, keeping a league-high 12 clean sheets. His commanding presence and reflex saves were instrumental in his team’s solid defensive record.
He was closely followed by Alhassan Gariba of Soccer Babies FC, who registered 11 clean sheets, and Angleoha Jerry of Kalibi SC, with 7 clean sheets—both earning deserved recognition for their shot-stopping excellence.

MVP Crowned
The season’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) honor went to James Angsinaa of TF Exponential FC, whose all-round brilliance and leadership on the pitch made him a standout figure. Angsinaa’s vision, work rate, and crucial goals turned the tide in key matches, making him a worthy recipient of the league’s top individual accolade.

As the 2025 season concludes, the UWRFA congratulates all award winners and extends appreciation to every club, player, coach, and fan who contributed to another memorable football year in the Upper West Region.
