Upper West NPP Regional Executives Endorse Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Preferred 2028 Flagbearer

The Upper West Regional Deputy NASARA Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Mohamed Tinkla, has publicly declared unwavering support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s bid to become the party’s flagbearer in the upcoming presidential primary.
In an interview with Info Radio , Alhaji Tinkla emphasized that all Upper West Regional executives are united in their endorsement of Dr. Bawumia, citing his impressive track record and dedication as key reasons for their support. “Dr. Bawumia stands tall among the four aspirants vying for the NPP flagbearership,” he stated. “He is the best bet to lead our party into victory in the next general elections.”
Alhaji Tinkla acknowledged the qualifications of all candidates but underscored that Dr. Bawumia’s experience and proven commitment make him the most suitable candidate. He also dismissed rumors questioning Dr. Bawumia’s affiliation with the NPP, affirming that the former Vice President has been an active and loyal member of the party for over sixteen years.
Expressing confidence in the electoral prospects of Dr. Bawumia, Alhaji Tinkla noted that the entire Upper West Regional NPP Executive body has collectively endorsed his candidacy. He further expressed optimism that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership would bolster the party’s chances of electoral success.
Alhaji Tinkla highlighted the significance of Dr. Bawumia’s position on the ballot paper, describing it as a symbol of luck and victory. “Dr. Bawumia is number 3 on the ballot paper,” he said, encouraging supporters to rally behind this choice.
The party’s primary remains highly anticipated, with regional endorsements such as this reinforcing Dr. Bawumia’s frontrunner status in the race.
