Mr Nadi Imoro Sanda, the District Chief Executive for Daffiama-Bussei-Issa (DBI), has highlighted the significant improvements in the roads sector during his tenure.
Previously, the only tarred road in the district was the one from Sombo to Daffiama, while the rest were dusty.
However, the district can now boast of several tarred roads, including the road from Wogu to Samambo and most of the Issa town roads.
Mr Sanda also mentioned that efforts are being made to tar the Kojokperi, Wahabu and Wellembele roads.
For those few roads that are yet to be tarred, Mr Sanda recently brought the Ghana Highway Authority to measure them and provide estimates for the necessary work to be done.
“There is tarred road from Wogu to Samambo and most of the Issa town roads are tarred. The few that are not tarred I recently brought the Ghana Highway Authority to do the measurement and give me the estimates so that we can work on those ones too,” he added.
It is clear that Mr Sanda's tenure has seen a significant improvement in the district's roads sector, with more tarred roads compared to previous years.
