Sacked HR Manager, others allegedly killed Jirapa Dubai CEO


Chief Superintendent Abdulai Amadu Alichewu, a Police prosecutor has accused a sacked Human Resource Manager, front desk officer and security guard of the Royal Cozy Hills Hotel (Jirapa Dubai) of conspiring to murder Eric Johnson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hotel.


The dismissed HR manager, Elisha Mahama, 32, Belinda Mila, aged 26 years a National Service personnel and front desk officer and Kwaku Kuubata, aged 56 years, security guard have been charged with conspiracy to commit the crime.


A District Court in Wa, presided over by Mr Maxibrain Titriku, discharged four suspects in the case while the three suspects had been remanded.


Belinda Mila, aged 26 years a National Service personnel and front desk officer at the Hotel, and Kwaku Kuubata, aged 56 years old, a security guard at the hotel, have been remanded into police custody while Elisha Mahama, 32 years, a dismissed Human Resource Manager of the hotel, has been remanded into Prison Custody to reappear before the court on April 15, 2024.


Presenting facts in court on Wednesday, Chief Sup. Alichewu said the three accused persons acted together with a common purpose to commit the murder.


Mr Bagonluri Lwanga Saanyeh, council for the discharged persons expressed content about the decision of the court and said these innocent young ladies and watchmen who have been discharged today will go home and relax.


He expressed confidence that the police would get to the bottom of the matter and they would get the support of the people of the region and Jirapa in specific through the process.
