The Chief and residents of Sabuli-Sobareyiri, a community in the Sobareyiri-Bubor Electoral Area of the Jirapa Municipality, have called on the government and stakeholders to assist in completing a health facility initiated and partially constructed by the community.

Speaking to Info Radio, Naa Sobare Waaluu Solomon, the Chief of Sabuli-Sobareyiri, explained that the community currently lacks any health facility, compelling residents to raise funds and build a structure independently.

While the building framework is complete, the community lacks resources to roof and finish the project. Although some individuals, including the Member of Parliament for Jirapa, have donated roofing sheets, significant work remains unfinished. The Chief appealed for urgent support from the government and partners to complete the facility.

Stephen Sinye, a Unit Committee Member, revealed that the community had contributed approximately GH¢30,000 toward the project but could not finalize it due to limited funds. Despite appeals to the Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa and the Upper West Regional Minister, no assistance has been forthcoming. He urged authorities to provide immediate help.

Another Unit Committee Member, Zenesiew Augustine, highlighted the severe healthcare access challenges residents face when ill and appealed on behalf of Sobareyiri residents for support from government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders to complete the health facility.
