The Ga Electoral Area in the Wa West District now boasts a new Police Checkpoint, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing security within the community.
Hon. Richard Wullo, the District Chief Executive for Wa West, speaking to Info Radio confirmed that police officers have been deployed to the checkpoint and are actively carrying out their duties. Plans are underway to construct an office and sleeping quarters to enable round-the-clock operations by the officers.
Hon. Wullo called on residents of the Ga Electoral Area to support and cooperate with the police, urging them to report any criminal activities or valuable information promptly.
The DCE emphasized that the establishment of the checkpoint is part of the Wa West District Assembly’s broader vision to develop the district into a modern, safe, and livable area for all residents. This move underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen security and drive development across the district.
