NDC Raises Over Four Million Ghana Cedis in a Fundraising Dinner, Exceeds Target

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised an impressive amount of over four million Ghana cedis at a fundraising dinner held in Wa, exceeding the party's target of three million Ghana cedis.
The event, which was moderated by Tamale North Member of Parliament, Alhassan Suhiyini, and Upper West Regional Deputy Communications Officer, Lawyer Eunice Kaminta, brought together a cross-section of NDC members, including parliamentarians, contractors, business leaders, and party executives.
Speaking at the event, Alhassan Suhiyini announced that the party had already mobilized over two million Ghana cedis as of 8 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
He expressed confidence that the party would exceed its target of three million Ghana cedis.
The Tamale North Member of Parliament urged party members to contribute their financial resources to the party to ensure an effective campaigning strategy for the 2024 general election.
Mr Suhiyini also emphasized that only party members who contribute financially to the party will be rewarded with appointments, contracts, and government largesse when the party wins the election. He likened the fundraising event to the popular saying "No contribution, No chop", emphasizing the importance of financial support for the party's success.
The fundraising dinner was attended by notable NDC functionaries, including the 2024 flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, NDC National Chairman, Aseidu Nketia, General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey, and other respected party officials. The event was hosted by the Upper West Regional Chairman of NDC, Mr Abdul Nasir Saani, at the Dellagio Hotel in Wa.
Participants at the NDC event bought coupons pegged between five thousand Ghana cedis to hundred thousand Ghana cedis.
