NDC Nadowli Kaleo Constituency Chair Urges Unity and Youth Development Ahead of Internal Elections

The Nadowli Kaleo Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Sombawiera Samba-Sankara, has called on party members and constituency executives to prioritize unity and collective effort as the party prepares for its upcoming internal elections later this year. In his New Year address, Mr. Samba-Sankara emphasized that fostering harmony among party members is essential for strengthening the NDC's organizational capacity and ensuring a smooth, transparent electoral process.
He urged members to set aside personal differences and work collaboratively towards shared party goals, highlighting that unity is key to achieving electoral success and advancing the party’s broader mission in the region.
Beyond party politics, the chairman addressed pressing social issues affecting the youth, condemning the rise of drug abuse among young people. He described drug misuse as a detrimental trend with severe implications for their future and called for concerted efforts to curb this social menace.
Mr. Samba-Sankara also condemned illegal mining activities, popularly known as galamsey, noting that these operations have become hotspots for drug use and other social vices. He appealed to the youth to channel their energies into productive ventures that foster personal growth and contribute positively to community development.
