Madam Abigail Elorm Mensah, CEO of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), has paid her first official visit to the Nadowli-Kaleo District. The visit focused on fostering stronger stakeholder relations and exploring strategies to improve operational efficiency within the district.

During the engaging discussions, Madam Mensah emphasized the importance of aligning Masloc’s services with the unique development priorities of the region. She highlighted the agency’s commitment to empowering women, youth, and grassroots entrepreneurs, recognizing their vital role in driving local economic growth.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Nadowlo-Kaleo District , Hon. Mary Haruna expressed gratitude for Masloc’s proactive approach and underscored the burgeoning wave of local businesses led by women and young entrepreneurs.

According to the Nadowli-Kaleo DCE, most women in the district are engaged in weaving, tailoring, retail, and agribusiness, among others, and are poised for expansion but require critical capital injection to scale their operations.

The DCE described the visit of the MASLOC CEO as timely and essential, stating she will collaborate closely with the District Director of MASLOC to ensure that local enterprises receive the support they need to thrive. This partnership aims to unlock the district's economic potential, foster job creation, and uplift the livelihoods of its residents.
