Lawra MP Hon. Ziedeng Urges Investment in Upper West Region

Lawra Member of Parliament Hon. Bede Ziedeng has called for increased investment in the Upper West Region, urging stakeholders to prioritise infrastructure development and create a more business-friendly environment.

Speaking at the Upper West Regional Investment Forum, Mr Ziedeng said stronger links between investors and local stakeholders could help unlock the region’s economic potential.

He represented the Upper West Parliamentary Caucus and the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, at the forum, organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). The event was held to prepare regional stakeholders for the Ghana Invest Summit.

Held under the theme “Driving Local Investment – Unlocking the Regional Potential: Mapping Opportunities and Mobilising Growth in the Upper West Region,” the forum focused on identifying investment opportunities and mobilising resources for growth.

Mr Ziedeng said the region had opportunities that made it worthy of investment, but noted that improved infrastructure and ease of doing business would be important to attracting investors.
