This decision follows investigations and recommendations from the UWRFA Disciplinary Committee (DC), in accordance with Article 14(3) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
The match, which was previously halted under undisclosed circumstances, will now be replayed under strict conditions to ensure fairness and security. According to a letter dated 22nd May 2025 and signed by UWRFA Chairman D2L B., the continuation will take place under the following guidelines:
1. Only the remaining minutes of the match will be played.
2. The match will be held behind closed doors, allowing access only to the media, RFA officials, League Board members, and match day stakeholders.
3. The game must be officiated by top referees capable of managing the intensity of the contest.
4. Enhanced security, in coordination with the Ghana Police Service, must be in place to supervise the event.
Furthermore, the RFA has been directed to set the date, time, and venue of the replay within 48 hours of the ruling.
Copies of the ruling have been sent to the chairmen of both clubs involved and the regional police to ensure full compliance.
This development highlights the RFA’s commitment to maintaining discipline and integrity within the region’s grassroots football competitions. Football fans and stakeholders will be eagerly anticipating the conclusion of this contentious fixture.
