Issa Najahu, Daud Arif Support Upper West Middle League Teams with GH¢6,000 Donation

Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper’s trainer, Issa Najahu, and Wa Suntaa SC Chief Executive Officer, Daud Arif, have jointly donated GH¢6,000 to clubs participating in the ongoing Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) Division Two Middle League.

The generous donation is aimed at easing the financial burden on the teams as they compete for a spot in the Division One League. It comes at a crucial time when many grassroots clubs face challenges in funding logistics, transportation, and player welfare.

In a brief presentation at the Nadowli McCoy College Astro Turf, the two football stakeholders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the growth of grassroots football in the region.

“This support is our way of giving back and encouraging the clubs to keep pushing. We believe in the potential of these young talents, and we want to be part of their journey,” said Daud Arif.

Issa Najahu echoed the sentiment, stressing the importance of supporting regional football to build a stronger future for the sport in Ghana.

In his part, Alhaji Daudi Sadugu Yahaya commends them for the kind gesture.

The gesture has been widely praised by the football community, with club officials and players expressing gratitude for the timely intervention. As the Middle League intensifies, the support is expected to boost morale and competitiveness among the teams.
