Dr. Paschalina Langmagne, a medical practitioner at the Issa Polyclinic, has raised urgent concerns over the increasingly difficult working conditions at the facility, highlighting resource shortages that are impeding effective healthcare delivery.
Dr. Langmagne speaking to Info Radio described her daily operations as overwhelming, citing critical issues such as inadequate transportation, insufficient staffing, and lack of basic facilities. She explained that her commute from Wa to Issa is hindered by an aging vehicle that frequently breaks down, delaying emergency responses and risking patient safety.
Dr. Langmagne revealed that she currently has no accommodation in Issa, necessitating a daily commute that adds to her challenges. The polyclinic is also suffering from a severe shortage of essential personnel, including midwives, nurses, and pharmacists, with only a handful of health assistants available to support patient care.
Dr. Langmagne has called on government authorities and health officials to take immediate action by providing necessary resources—such as reliable vehicle, adequate staffing, improved infrastructure, and accommodation—to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services at the facility.
