The Unit Chairperson for the Doryne Electoral Area in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region , Mr. Tinoori Batuna Mohamed, has called on the Wa West District Assembly and the Ghanaian government to prioritize extending electricity coverage to the entire community. Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, Mr. Tinoori highlighted that only a limited number of households are currently connected to the national grid, leaving many residents without reliable power.

According to him, the community's existing connection is partial, with fewer homes benefiting from electricity compared to those still in darkness. He emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to expand the electrical infrastructure, which would significantly improve living conditions and promote socio-economic development within Doryne.

Mr. Tinoori's appeal underscores the broader challenge faced by manay rural communities in the Upper West Region in accessing basic amenities and calls for concerted efforts to ensure equitable distribution of electricity across the district. The community hopes that their plea will be heeded to bring lasting improvements to Doryne’s residents.
