Coach Kandima Urges Clubs to Respect Football Laws and Avoid Repeated Mistakes

The Head Coach of Kalibi Sporting Club, Kandima John, has called on football clubs in the Upper West Region to respect the laws governing the game and approach the sport with professionalism.

Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, Coach Kandima emphasized that petitions are a normal part of football and clubs must be bold enough to accept the consequences when they breach the rules.

"Petitions are part of football, so all clubs should be brave and abide by the laws of the game," he stated.

He expressed concern over the recurring mistakes made by some clubs in the region, especially regarding player registration. According to him, the lack of proper background checks during player signings often leads to issues such as double registration, which disrupts the integrity of competitions.

"Some clubs are repeating the same mistakes all the time. It’s something that shouldn’t be happening in football," he lamented.

Coach Kandima called on club administrators to be more diligent and thorough in managing their teams, particularly when it comes to verifying player details. He believes that with greater care and professionalism, many of the issues affecting regional football can be avoided.

His comments come ahead of the Upper West Regional Division Two Middle League, for which the Regional Football Association is yet to announce a date.
