Chief of Balawa Unhappy with Wa West DCE Over Failed Promise

The Divisional Chief of Balawa in the Wa West District, Naa Abubakari Yakubu II, is unhappy with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wa West, Madam Vida Diorotey, for failing to construct a half-kilometer road to his Palace.

According to Naa Yakubu II, the DCE had promised to construct the half-kilometer road from a junction to his Palace but failed to do so.

Speaking to Info Radio in the community, he indicated that the bad nature of the road makes it difficult for people to access his palace during raining seasons.

The chief added that school children from one section of the Balawa community are cut off from the school in the community.

“I heard some of the teachers in our school are tricycle (Cambuu) drivers and because of that they do not take care of the children and I am not happy about that.

I went to the school recently and told the head teacher that he was the problem of the school,” Naa Yakubu II added.

Meanwhile, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, has assured the chief that the road will be constructed.
