Residents of Kanyin - Duori have voiced urgent concerns over inadequate healthcare services and essential amenities, calling on authorities to address pressing community needs.

The community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound currently operates with only two nurses, a situation residents say hampers access to quality healthcare, especially for expectant mothers and emergency cases. They are appealing to the District Health Directorate to deploy additional health personnel, with a particular emphasis on recruiting a midwife to improve maternal health outcomes.

In addition to healthcare challenges, residents highlighted difficulties in accessing potable water, noting that the entire community depends on a single functional borehole. This limited water source hampers daily domestic needs and poses health risks.

The community is calling for the extension of electricity to all parts of Kanyin Duori to enhance living conditions and foster local development. They also advocate for the construction of a dam to facilitate dry-season farming, animal rearing, and irrigation activities, vital for boosting agricultural productivity and community resilience.

The residents remain hopeful that their concerns will be addressed promptly, paving the way for improved healthcare, water supply, and overall community development.
