Assembly member decries lack of electricity in electoral area


The Assembly Member of Takpo-Tuori Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, Mr Yemeh Suglo Luke, has decried the lack of electricity in his electoral area.

Speaking to Info Radio News Team, Mr Yemeh bemoaned that the entire electoral area has no electricity which he says is negatively affecting the residents.

He indicated that he made several appeals to the relevant authorities to extend electricity to the electoral area but had no positive response.

Mr Yemeh further added that the lack of electricity in the electoral area is affecting their school children academic performance.

“The lack of electricity is affecting our children academic performance because they cannot do their homework in the night.”

He also mentioned that the residents cannot do any economic activity that requires electricity.

“The youth cannot engage in any entertainment activity. Even our mobile phones we have to charge them at Takpo,” he added.
