Nuobapuora Joseph, the Assembly Member for the Yiziiri-Kpazie Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, has voiced deep concern over the persistent lack of development in his constituency. Speaking exclusively to Info Radio in Kakalaazu, Mr. Joseph highlighted critical infrastructure deficiencies that continue to impede the progress and well-being of residents.

He described the roads within the electoral area as severely deplorable, rendering access to essential services such as education and healthcare extremely difficult. Notably, during the rainy season, schoolchildren from the Kakalaazu community are often unable to attend classes in Kpazie due to a valley along the route becoming impassable, effectively cutting off their access to education.

Mr. Joseph also raised alarm over the absence of basic amenities, including electricity and a junior high school. He emphasized that the lack of power infrastructure hampers children’s ability to study at night, further affecting their academic progress. "Our children are suffering because of these infrastructural gaps. We need urgent intervention," he stated.

A significant concern expressed by the Assembly Member is the limited access to education for girls in the area. Currently, the community does not have a Junior High School, forcing children to travel to Nadowli for secondary education. The long distances and associated challenges often discourage continued schooling, resulting in high dropout rates among girls. Mr. Joseph noted that some girls drop out due to pregnancy or other social challenges, with many never returning to school.

He appealed to the government and relevant authorities to prioritize development projects in the Yiziiri-Kpazie Electoral Area to improve roads, provide electricity, and establish a local junior high school. Such interventions, he argued, are essential for enhancing the living conditions and future prospects of residents, particularly the youth and girls in the community.
