Wa West NDC communications bureau enhances skills at capacity building workshop

The Wa West Constituency Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has organized a capacity-building workshop for its communicators in Wechiau.
Mr Issah Kantagyere, the NDC Upper West Regional Communications Officer, and the Deputy Regional Organizer Prince Mahamud along with other facilitators, led the training.
Mr. Kantagyere spoke about "The NDC's Manifesto Launch and the Way Forward," while Mr. Mahamud focused on "Political Communication as a Tool for Political Victory."
Representing the Regional Chairman, Mr Mahamud donated GH₵1,000 to the Wa West Communications Bureau.
Additional sessions were conducted by Hon. Alhaji Adamu N.S. Dasaana, Alhassan Sharifdeen Shash, and Ibrahim Carlos Chireh, who are all from the constituency.
Hon. Dasaana, a former DCE of Wa West District and Proprietor of Bomandi International School, discussed "The Impact of Dialect on Effective Communication."
Mr Sharifdeen Shash covered "Social Media Communication and Content Creation" while Carlos Chireh spoke on "Achieving Agenda 11/11: The Role of Party Communicators."
Hon. Dasaana also adopted the Wa West Constituency Communications Bureau until the December 2024 elections, presenting a cash donation of GH₵500 for internet bundles, an MTN broadband internet router, and three copies of the 1992 Constitution.
He pledged further support, including a tablet, printer, and monthly internet bundles worth GH₵500.

Alhaji Alhassan Gbangu, a financier of the NDC, donated 30 mobile phones valued at GH₵4,800.
The Deputy Regional Women’s Organizer, Mrs. Khalida M.A. Seidu, donated ten packs of bottled water, five packs of soft drinks, and biscuits, totalling GH₵1,000.
Prof. Domasus Tuurosung, the keynote speaker, emphasized the importance of appropriate messaging and timing. The event was attended by the constituency chairman and some executives, including former party executives.

The workshop concluded with the inauguration of the constituency communications team by Hon. Olinaa Ababaasa, the Constituency Communication Officer, and his deputy, Mr. Kyekuo Emmanuel, who urged them to mobilize support for John Dramani Mahama and the MP, Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu.
