Wa West MP Hosts Second “Accounting to the People” Forum, Highlights Achievements and Future Plans

The Member of Parliament for Wa West Constituency , Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu, successfully hosted the second edition of his “Accounting to the People” series on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, in Wechiau, the district capital. The event drew community members, departmental heads, assembly members, and traditional authorities, all eager to engage with their MP and stay informed about developmental progress within the constituency.

During the forum, MP Toobu delivered a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation detailing his achievements in the first year of his current term. He highlighted infrastructural developments, educational initiatives, healthcare improvements, and other key projects aimed at transforming Wa West. Following his presentation, participants engaged in a lively question-and-answer session, demonstrating strong community interest and involvement.

The event also featured commendations from Seidu Abdulai, popularly known as Chairman Major, the Wa West Constituency NPP Chairman. He praised the initiative as a vital platform for transparency and accountability. However, he raised concerns about uncompleted projects initiated by the previous government, seeking clarity on future plans for their completion.

In response, MP Toobu assured constituents that the current administration is committed to completing all outstanding projects. He emphasized that government efforts are focused on ensuring continuity and delivering on promises made to the people, regardless of past administrations.
