Wa West DCE touts Education Sector Achievement

The DCE of Wa West, Madam Vida Diorotey, has made significant efforts to improve the quality of basic education in her district.

In an interview with Info Radio, Madam Diorotey credited the Akufo-Addo government with helping many basic schools in the district to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.

She also mentioned that during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) period, she personally visits all the examination centers in her district to offer support and encouragement to the candidates, helping them learn and pass with flying colors.

Madam Diorotey mentioned that the Wa West District Assembly supported schools with furniture and materials to improve access to basic education.

“Upon taking office, I toured all schools in the district and discovered that furniture was a major issue. We addressed this by creating and distributing over 300 pieces of furniture to schools in the district,” she noted.
