Wa Municipal Assembly distributes furniture to schools

The Wa Municipal Assembly has distributed dual desks to some of the basic schools located in the municipality.

The objective of this distribution is to reduce the furniture deficit in the education sector of the municipality.

According to the Wa Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, the assembly's top priority is to improve the quality of basic education provided in the municipality.

He stated that the distribution of furniture was aimed at equipping the schools with the necessary resources to enhance teaching and learning and, consequently, improve academic performance.

The MCE mentioned that the Assembly has already eliminated almost all schools that were previously under trees, and now, they are making every effort to reduce the furniture deficit in all schools.

Recently, the Wa Municipal Assembly distributed 30 dual desks each to Doodiyiri and Dinanso basic schools, and they plan on distributing more furniture to other schools in the Municipality soon.

The Wa MCE revealed that the Assembly donated some of the dual desks to the Wa Prison Service basic school.
