Wa MCE Urges Motorists to Slow Down at Newly Installed Speed Ramps

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Wa Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Nurah Issah Danwana, has urged motorists to observe speed limits and exercise caution when approaching newly installed speed ramps across the municipality.
The ramps are being constructed to slow traffic, improve pedestrian safety and reduce road accidents, particularly involving vulnerable road users.
Speaking to the media, Mr Danwana said the measures would only be effective if drivers cooperated by reducing their speed as they approached the ramps.
He also cautioned residents against installing speed ramps without first consulting the relevant authorities. Proper consultation, he said, is essential to ensure that any structures are appropriately planned and support road safety and orderly development across the municipality.
