Dr Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wa Central Constituency, has donated some items to the Upper West Regional Office of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to support their operation.
The Wa Central Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sidik Issahak Famina, presented a 32-inch LED TV, mattresses and liquid soap on behalf of the Wa Central MP to the GNFS on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
He was accompanied by constituency executives of the NDC. Mr Famina mentioned that the donation was the MP’s ‘small’ contribution to support the work of the fire officers at the regional office.
The District Fire Officer for the sub-station, Rahama Zakaria, received the donated items and expressed gratitude to the MP for the generous gift.
She assured that the office would make good use of the items and hoped that this would not be the last donation from the MP.
