Ullo: Assembly Member bemoans poor security situation in the electoral area

The Assembly Member for Ullo Electoral Area in the Jirapa Municipality, Mr Ernest Nindor, has expressed worry about the deplorable state of security in the electoral area.

He said the rampant stealing of their ruminants in the area has made rearing unattractive to them.

Mr Nindor, who expressed the worry in an interview with Info Radio, blamed the poor state of security at the area on the absence of a police station in the area.

He therefore explained that the community has initiated steps to constitute a community watchdog groups to be trained by the police to help manage the security of the area.

The Assembly Member observed that Ullo is a paramountcy and deserves to have a police station but that there is not even a police post in the area.

He indicated that the community has taken steps to construct a police station but they are financially constraint to complete the structure.

He therefore appealed for support from benevolent individuals and organisations to help them complete the project.
