Tibani Basic School in dilapidated state, coupled with no furniture

Residents of Tibani in the Jang Electoral Area of the Nadowli-Kaleo District have lamented over the dilapidated nature the school block in the community.

They also said the school is bedridden with lack of furniture for the school children.

According to the residents, there is a vocational school and basic school in the community but both are in deplorable nature.

Speaking in an interview with Info Radio at the community, Mr. Peter Wogunaa said the vocational school does not have the needed learning resources for quality tuition, while the basic school especially the Junior High School block is at its rundown stage.

He disclosed that parents have been contributing monies in support of the school but, they are now financially broke.

Mr. Zaamienaa Kwadjo Musah, another resident, expressed worry about the nature of the dilapidated school structure saying it does not encourage learning in pupils because it is not conducive for teaching and learning.

Another resident, Madam Babainai Ruth indicated that the lack of furniture coupled with non-availability of potable water and non-existence of school feeding program do not foster effective teaching and learning in the school.

The residents, therefore, appealed to the government and the Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly to come to their aid.
