Socialist Movement Ghana Visits Upper West Region

The National Youth Wing of the Socialist Movement of Ghana (SMG) has paid a working visit to the Socialist Movement of Ghana groups in the Upper West Region. The visit was to discuss how to strengthen the SMG groups in the region.

The groups visits included the SDD UBIDS Campus Collective, and the Jirapa and Wa town groups. The National Youth Coordinator of the Socialist Movement of Ghana, Comrade Stone Baiden said the visit was to, among other things, assess the activities of the groups, their challenges and the way forward and to encourage members to keep up momentum in the work they do.

The convener for the SDD UBIDS group, Comrade Sebastian Mbabugri Agumah, in his welcome address, described the visit as historic as it was the first of its kind since the group was formally inaugurated in last academic year.

Similarly, the Wa group lamented low membership turnout for meetings and mobilization of funds as a key challenge for the organization of its activities .
