Residents of Nator bemoan partial electrification of community

Residents of Nator in the Nadowli-Kaleo District have bemoaned the partial electrification of the community which affects social lives and businesses in the area.

In an interview with Info Radio at the community, Naah Samba, a resident, said the community has about eight sections but the larger part is not having electricity which is causing division among the sections.

He said the Assembly Member has taken measures to extend the electricity to the other sections but they are not seeing any improvement yet.

Madam Florence Naturo, another resident, indicated that the market have only one street light bulb as a result they force and close from the market before 6pm.

She lamented that, they have to go to the other section to charge their phone and their children do not learn during the night to improve their academic performance.

Another resident Madam Christiana Nagaye, stated that, if the light is connected to all the sections they can engage in business like selling of soft drinks, foods, using machines to grind flour and others to earn living.

The residents, therefore, appealed to the government through the Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly to extend the electricity to the other sections.
