Residents of Manyeteng in the Sanuori Electoral Area, Wa West District, are lamenting the inadequate number of sources of potable water such as boreholes in the community.
They said the situation has compelled some of the people in the community to resort to nearby streams for water for domestic use such as cooking and drinking.
According to the residents, there are two boreholes in the community but only one is functioning.
Speaking to Info Radio at the community, some residents said the single borehole is generating conflict among residents and also reducing their production hours to work.
They indicated that the people in the community are more than the capacity of the one borehole resulting in too much pressure on it.
Madam Jeyir Kyiima, another resident, indicated that most of the people are drinking from the streams because of the pressure mounting on the borehole.
