Residents of Maaduteng decry bad roads as the rainy season sets in

Residents of Maaduteng in the Ga Electoral Area of the Wa West District have decried the deplorable state of their roads, causing their inability to access farms, schools and markets, as the rainy season sets in.

According to the residents, the main road that links them to their farms, schools and markets has been cut off by a river which poses a major challenge to their daily activities.

Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Mr Dooyen Kutina, a resident, said it is a major road which passes through Jenebob to Wechiau which has been divided by the river and is impeding travelling and business transactions through the route.

He suggested that the river could be constructed into a dam which could boost their crop cultivation and animal-rearing businesses.

Mr Momaa Dari, another resident of the community, appealed to the authorities to turn their attention to that road to help improve their daily, social and economic activities on that road.
