Residents of Happa , a community in the Hamile Electoral Area in the Lambussie district have received a significant educational boost following the completion of a long-overdue school facility. Hon. Abubakari Abdul-Moomin, the Assemblyman for Hamile electoral area, announced that the newly constructed kindergarten complex has now been finalized and officially handed over to the Ghana Education Service (GES) by the District Chief Executive for Lambussie, Hon. Ireneous Basingbie Naawulle.

Speaking exclusively to Info Radio, Hon. Moomin highlighted that the KG block had been under construction for several years and marks a vital step toward improving access to quality education in the community. He also revealed that Happa currently lacks a Junior High School (JHS), though the community has applied to the District Education Directorate for permission to establish one. Efforts are ongoing to lobby for the construction of the necessary structures to support this development.

Despite these advancements, the district continues to face significant challenges, notably a severe shortage of teachers. Hon. Moomin explained that the limited teaching staff has resulted in teachers having to combine classes and teach multiple subjects simultaneously. He attributed the staffing issues to the broader problem of inadequate recruitment within the district, compounded by the tendency of many teachers posted from the southern regions of Ghana to re-post back to their home areas, leaving Lambussie chronically understaffed.
