Residents of Guree appeal for additional boreholes

Residents of Guree community in Sombo East Electoral Area of the Nadowli-Kaleo District are appealing to the government, Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly and benevolent organizations to come to their need by providing them with additional boreholes to help reduce their challenges in accessing portable water at the community.

Speaking to Info Radio at the community, Madam Prisca Yonye, a resident, explained that they are having three boreholes in the community but only one borehole is functioning well and serving the entire community with potable water.

She further stated that community members always contribute money to repair the damaged boreholes but they frequent break down.

Mr Majeed Salifu also a resident in the community added that they are really facing difficulties in getting potable water in their community due to the frequent breakdown of their community boreholes.

He lamented that community people are tired of contributing money for the repair of their frequent breakdown boreholes in the community.
