Residents of Chaggu call government's attention to their roads

The people living in Chaggu community in the Wa East District have appealed to the government and the Wa East District Assembly to give attention to their roads and help put them in proper shape.

They expressed worry about the deplorable state of the roads linking the community to other communities in the area.

They said the current state of the roads leading to their community is life-threatening to the users of those roads.

In an interview with Info Radio at the community, Mr Yussif Adam said parts of the roads should have some bridges but do not.

He said the situation gets worse anytime it rains.

Mr Yussif said that since the deplorable state of the roads is partly because they have not been given a facelift in a long while, they have brought the situation to the attention of the DCE and are still waiting for action.

Mutakeli Naaba said one of their headaches about the road is a broken-down bridge close to the community.

They appealed to the government to give the road some attention.
