One Does Not Need Money to Win An Election- Jirapa DCE

The Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa Mr Nicholas Soyiri says, one does not necessary need money to win an election in the Jirapa constituency.

According to him, political campaign is not all about money.

He said if political campaigns were all about money; the current Member of Parliament for Jirapa Constituency, Mr. Cletus Seidu Dapilah would not be in Parliament.

The Jirapa MCE who picked a form to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries said this in response to a question on whether he was financially strong enough to sponsor his campaign going into the contest.

Per the assertion of Mr Soyiri, doing politics should not be about who is having money, but that humanity is part of politics. He said though the issue of money is very important in politics, it is not the ultimate thing needed to win an election.

The Jirapa NPP parliamentary candidate hopeful also launched a fund raising campaign to support his campaign. He called on the general public, sympathizers and supporters of the New Patriotic Party to donate a token to support his campaign.
