Hudu Mohammed to step down as Assembly Member of Kanyini Electoral Area


The Assembly member for the Kanyini Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, Mr Hudu Mohammed, has announced that he will not run for re-election in the upcoming district-level elections.

He made this announcement during an interview on Info Radio’s Tizine Yiri Yela programme on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Mr. Mohammed cited personal reasons for his decision not to run again and expressed his desire to focus on other aspects of his life.

While serving as the Assembly Member, he has been an ardent advocate for the people of the electoral area, working tirelessly to address their needs and concerns, and striving to improve the living standards and infrastructure within the community.

As he prepares to step down, Mr Mohammed expressed his gratitude and pride for the accomplishments made during his tenure, thanking the residents of Kanyini for their support and cooperation throughout his term.

In addition, he called on those contesting to carry out a free and fair campaign for peace to prevail after the elections.

Many residents have praised Mr Mohammed's commitment and dedication to the development of Kanyini, expressing their gratitude for his service.

With Mahama's decision not to contest again, the electoral area will soon be seeking a new representative to take on the responsibilities of the Assembly Member role.
