NPP Flagbearer race: Wa West Constituency NPP Chairman unsatisfied with Dr Bawumia’s results

The Wa West Constituency Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Seidu Abdulai popularly known as Chairman Major, says he is not satisfied with the results Dr Mahamudu Bawumia had in his constituency.

In an interview with Info Radio, Chairman Major said he expected the Vice President to win with a wider margin at the end of the election.

After declaration of results, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia emerged winner with 412 votes. His closest contender Kennedy Agyepong polled a total of 154 votes.

Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto managed 28 votes while Francis Adai-Nimo had 8 votes.

Chairman Major said the outcome of the results was that the Bawumia team could not visit all the polling stations to campaign for Bawumia because of logistics.

“It got to a point and some of our people relaxed with the mindset that a lot of the delegates did not see Kennedy Agyepong to be a presidential material,” he stated.
