NDC Upper West holds unity walk after elections


The Opposition National Democratic Congress in the Upper West Region on Saturday, December 24 held a unity walk for its party sympathizers across the region.


The program was organized by the party elections directorate under the watch of Mr Ishmael Dibkuu.


The walk was held in the regional capital, Wa.


The health walk formed part of the unity process of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after the reformation of the party’s hierarchy this year.


The Unity Walk also seen some stalwarts of the leading opposition party mount the stage to speak about happenings in the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.


Speaking at the grounds, Mr. Abdul Nasir Saani popularly known as chairman Bunas, the Party’s regional chairman, called on all aspirants to come together to work and seize power from the ruling NPP government coming 2024 and also win all the eleven (11) seats in the region.


Former Ghanaian Ambassador to Mali, H.E. Mahmud Khalid called on all party executives to maintain former president John Dramani Mahama as the 2024 party flagbearer as he chopped successes in his past leadership.


He indicated that they do not want a court case as he noted that elections are won at the polling stations.


H.E. Mahmud bemoaned the current crises the Ghanaian economy is facing under the NPP government.


Party executives, MPs and members across the region took part in the activity.
