NDC Launches Campaign in Daffiama-Bussie-Issa Constituency

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially launched its campaign in the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency, aiming to retain its parliamentary seat in the upcoming general election. The event, held at Fian, saw a gathering of party members, leaders, and supporters from across the constituency.

Dr. Sebastian Saandare, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Daffiama Bussie Issa constituency, expressed gratitude to party elders for fostering reconciliation between him and his main rival, Abu Kanbeubata Kansagbata during the party's primaries. Dr Saandare emphasized that the unity within the party is critical for ensuring that the NDC retains the seat in the December 7 polls.

“We have come together, and our reconciliation is a clear sign that we are focused on retaining the seat. I want to thank the elders for their role in this process,” Dr. Saandare remarked.

In his address, Abu Kanbeubata Kansagbata reaffirmed his commitment to the party, stating that there were no factions heading into the election. He urged his supporters to campaign vigorously to secure victory for the NDC, pledging to rally behind Dr. Saandare in a show of unity.

“There are no camps as we head into this election. I am fully behind the MP, and I urge all of my supporters to join hands and work towards retaining this seat for the NDC,” Kansagbata said.

The campaign launch was led by Mr. Abdul Nasir Saani, the Upper West Regional Chairman of the NDC, who called for collective efforts to bring the party back to power nationally and ensure the party's success in the parliamentary election.

“We must all work together to secure victory. It is only through unity that we can retain this seat and bring the NDC back to power,” Mr. Nasir emphasized.

The launch marks the start of a concerted effort by the NDC in Daffiama-Bussie-Issa to secure re-election, as the December 7 elections draw nearer.
