Nadowli-Kaleo has benefited tremendously from SOCO Project-DCE


The Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly has organized community fun games and cultural displays to foster unity and social cohesion among communities in the district.


Madam Katherine Lankono, the District Chief Executive for Nadowli-Kaleo, speaking at the occasion said, she is grateful for the inter-cluster fun games and cultural display under the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion project (SOCO) in her district.




She added that the social cohesion project will benefit a lot of communities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District.


“The northern part of Ghana has also seen the highest rate of youth unemployment and poverty. Nadowli-Kaleo district, one of the 48 beneficiary metropolitan, municipal and district assembly has benefited tremendously from this project and as I speak physical projects have commenced in various communities in the district,” the DCE stated.

The District Planning Officer, Mr Salifu Ibrahim Tiani explained that the fun activities are targeted primarily at the youth of the district in the selected communities as part of the youth engagement and social cohesion activities, aimed at imbibing the spirit of unity among the young people.


Mr Salifu Ibrahim Tiani further acknowledges the government of Ghana for the implementation of the SOCO project in Ghana.
