Most of the Major Roads in my District are Tarred-DCE for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa

The District Chief Executive for Daffiama-Busie-Issa, Nadi Imoro Sanda, has stated that most major roads within the district are tarred.

Speaking to Info Radio, Mr Sanda explained that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done massive work in terms of major road upgrades in the district.

“It is during the NPP’s time that we tarred the road from to Issa. Currently, work is ongoing on the Issa to Wallembele stretch of the road. We have open new road from Wuogu to Bussie. Bussie to Kamahegu, it was during President Kuffour’s regime that he worked on some few bridges on the road. At the moment we have worked on most of the remaining bridges and we’ll soon complete works on that road”.

Mr Sanda, responding to concerns raise by residents of Dakyie relating to bad road network explained why portions of the Dakyie-Daffiama road that were washed off by rain about two years ago remain unfixed.

“You don’t just get up to construct roads. You need to do an assessment and see the economic values of the road as compared to other roads. The European Union roads project started long time ago and the sod was cut for the project to commence in 2020. The Dakyie-Daffiama road was washed off in 2021. When we started the selection of the roads for the project the Dakyie-Daffiama road was in good shape and far better than the roads that were selected”.

Mr Sanda added that he is taking measures to fix the rest of the deplorable roads in the district.
