Lambussie MP Urges Peace and Unity Following Ethnic Violence

The Member of Parliament for Lambussie onstituency Hon. Prof. Titus K. Beyuo,, has issued a compelling call for peace and reconciliation in the wake of recent ethnic clashes between the Sisa and Dindee communities in the Lambusie district of the Upper West Region. The violence resulted in tragic loss of life and heightened tensions within the district.
In a statement released on Monday , Hon. Prof. Beyuo expressed deep concern over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families. He praised the prompt response of the District Security Council (DISEC) in restoring calm and called on authorities to bolster security measures to prevent any further escalation.
The MP emphasized the importance of unity and urged all stakeholders to recommit to the ongoing peace-building initiatives led by the Lambussie Traditional Council, with support from the Ghana Peace Council. He highlighted the district’s rich cultural diversity and longstanding tradition of peaceful coexistence, urging residents to uphold these values amidst the current challenges.
