Kawlaka Camp donates PPEs to women


Kawlaka Camp, a popular youth group in Wa has donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) some women in the Upper West region.


The donation was made in commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the camp to contribute their quota towards giving back to society.


Speaking in an interview with Info Radio, the Chairman of the camp, Chairman Bunbass noted that the gesture was necessary to enable the women stay safe from contracting the novel Coronavirus.


The Wa Municipal Director of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Hamidu Kassim who spoke during the donation, urged the women to always wear the face masks provided them so as to protect theirselves from the virus.


He said the virus is air-borne and by wearing facemasks, one is protected from contracting the virus.


The women who were beneficiaries of the donation expressed appreciation to Kawlaka Camp for extending a helping hand to them.


They noted that they were now free from the displinary actions of the COVID-19 safety protocols adherence and enforcement institutions.
