Karim Abdul Rahman Topie, the Assembly member for Nakore Electoral Area in the Wa Municipal Assembly, has announced that he will not be seeking re-election once his current term expires in December 2023.
Mr Topie, who also serves as the Presiding Member for the Wa Municipal Assembly, made this declaration during an interview with Info Radio.
“Let me use this medium to tell my electorates and all my loved ones that I have not picked form to contest in the upcoming elections,” he said.
He hopes that his time at the assembly will inspire and motivate others to take up the mantle and continue working towards the development of the area.
After serving for twelve (12) years, he feels that it is time to take a step back and reflect on his accomplishments at the assembly.
He also served as the Presiding Member of the Wa Municipal Assembly for three (3) consecutive terms.
