Hiquie Sung Joy Network trains women of Siriyiri in liquid soap making


Hiquie Sung Joy Network, an innovative youth organization in the Upper West Region has Saturday organized skills training session on liquid soap making for women and young girls at Siriyiri in the Wa West District.


Speaking at the event, Executive Director of the Hiquie Sung Joy foundation, Hiqimat Sungdeme Saani, said the foundation seeks to put smiles on the faces of people, especially rural folks.


She posited that by training women on such living-earning skills, it would enable them to crawl out of hopelessness and poverty and thus urged the women to take the training a serious escapade.


She stated that the training aims at creating employment for the people to enable them crawl out of poverty and to cater for their families and children.


In his opening remarks, Hon Adams Osman, the Assembly Member of the Guo Electoral Area, of which Siriyiri is a part, urged women to take optimum advantage of the training as it will help alleviate their suffering and the ripple benefits that comes with it.


He also thanked the organizers of the training program for extending such a humanistic opportunity to the women of the community.


A participant, Nadiratu Mani said the training which will provide a source of income to her could have come at no better time than this, at a time where her late husband left her behind with children.


She added that the training will also help her to take care of her children educational and other needs.


Hawa Braimah, another participant could not his joy as the training has come to offer them jobs that will enable them to cater for their daily needs. She said the skills acquired will serve as a relief to them.


Hiquie Sung Joy Network is noted for its innovativeness in organizing community outreach programs, seeking to reduce poverty through quality education and skills training, especially in rural areas.
