A fire incident that broke out in the Jirapa Senior High School girls' hostel has left the community reeling in shock.
The incident, which occurred on the 25th of April 2024, resulted in the loss of students' belongings and has left them in dire need of assistance.
The Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Jirapa SHS, Mr Jude Korbieh, has made a heartfelt appeal to the public for assistance in aiding the affected students.
The students need clothing, cash, and any other form of support to help them recover from their losses. The PTA is calling on everyone to lend a helping hand to these students who have lost everything in this tragic incident.
According to sources, the fire broke out in a portion of the girls' hostel and quickly spread, resulting in extensive damage to students' belongings. The incident has left the affected students traumatized and in need of urgent assistance.
The Headmaster of Jirapa SHS, Mr Primus Baro, has called on the public to come together and support the affected students during this challenging time.
