Election 2024: Niator Kuoro implores political leaders to prioritize the welfare of citizens

Kuoro Baracheh Nlowie Baninye II, the Niator Kuoro in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region has appealed to political leaders to prioritize the welfare and progress of the citizens ahead of the 2024 general election.


Kuoro Baninye II who is also the Vice President of Buwa (Zini) Traditional Council made the appeal in Niator during the Silver Jubilee Celebration of his enskinment as the Niator Kuoro. He ascended the throne in 1999.


“2024 mark an election year in Ghana. To our political leaders and aspiring representatives, I implore you to prioritize the welfare and the progress our citizens.”


“Let us work collectively to ensure that our traditional area and the entire nation experience a sustainable development,” he said.


He called on politicians and citizens to embrace the principle of fairness, transparency and commitment to the common good.


He added that “let us make the improvement of our citizens live the focal point of our endeavors.”


Kuoro Baninye II commended the people of Niator for their relentless cooperation and unwavering interest in driving the development of the community.


“As we reflect on the journey of the past, subsequently, I am humbled by the collective effort of our leaders and entire community in driving the development of our cherished traditional area,” he stated.


The 25th Anniversary Celebration which was under the theme “Celebrating a Passionate Leader, Forging Unity and Development” was chaired by Bernard Mornah, former National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC).

Mr Mornah in his remarks called on the government to work on the deplorable roads in Niator to bring development to the area.


He said the chief and people of Niator need the political inspiration of the DCE, the Regional Minister and the Assembly member to uplift the community from its poverty status to a society where the people will be elevated into economic prosperity.
